We are delighted to announce that registration is open for Woven Together: Perspectives on Religion and Reproductive Justice! Join SACReD for a 6-part virtual learning series this fall. We are hosting regular opportunities for the SACReD alliance to learn from our partners across the movement as we head into the 2024 election and beyond.

We are watching the forces of White Christian Nationalism threaten our families and our communities every day. As we shift the culture to make Reproductive Justice a lived reality, we recognize that our political, religious, and reproductive lives are all woven together.

SACReD acknowledges that Christian communities have disproportionately contributed to the rise of Christian supremacy in this country. Therefore, Christian communities and those of us with Christian lineages have a particular responsibility to promote healing, bring new understanding, and challenge the forces of White Christian Nationalism this election cycle and into the future.

We are bringing together experts to cover the legal, political, theological, and cross-movement intersections of religion and reproductive justice. When we understand how all of our struggles are inextricably linked, we can continue to deepen our solidarity in the pursuit of liberation and justice for all.

The Woven Together series is for:

  • anyone who is beginning to learn about faith and Reproductive Justice;
  • secular movement partners who want to explore and/or deepen faith-based organizing;
  • faith leaders ready to challenge the forces of White Christian Nationalism
  • all who want to connect to a network of people for whom religion and the call for justice are inextricably linked.

We hope to see you at one or all of these sessions as we gather the alliance together, deepen our political and theological understandings, and learn from our partners and their work across the movement. Each session will invite you to interrogate what you have been taught and imagine more expansive ways of being in the world.
